Moving is stressful enough without leaving a cleaning job for the last hour. In Québec, many leases end around July 1, so cleaners and moving trucks book up quickly. Start planning early, and start with the rooms that take longest.
Kitchen: clean inside the refrigerator and freezer, inside the oven and microwave, and inside every cabinet and drawer. Wipe cabinet fronts, the backsplash, and the range hood.
Bathrooms: scrub the tub, shower, and grout, remove soap scum from glass, clean the toilet including the base, and wipe mirrors, fixtures, and inside the vanity.
Throughout the home: wipe baseboards, door frames, light switches, and outlet covers. Clean window sills and tracks. Vacuum closets, then vacuum and wash every floor last.
